Virtual Consultations 

Our team of academic technologists works with individuals, small groups, and departments in the CLA community to design student-centered online learning. Meetings are virtual and can occur one time or on a short-term basis. Schedule a one-time appointment or send an email to establish an ongoing partnership.

  • Planning digital course content and assignments
  • Structuring your Canvas site and settings
  • Selecting online learning tools
  • Learning more about student-centered design practices

LX Badging Program

The Learning Experience Instructor Badge offers an opportunity to practice best design principles for Canvas courses and is open to the CLA teaching community. To earn a badge, you must complete the following requirements:  

  • Complete our LX training course   
  • Submit documentation of an effective application of the CLA template or equally accessible course site 
  • Complete a self-assessment reflection 
  • Attend a workshop or individual consultation 
  • Create an action plan for how you’ll apply LX principles in future courses

Workshops & Presentations

We partner with CLA departments, units, and programs to create customized workshops for  instructors, graduate students, and staff on how to implement student-centered course design. We emphasize practical approaches to increase accessibility and boost engagement.
